Teresa Braun, FS, BW
Teresa is our Evening Skin Care Instructor. As a graduate of Florida Academy of Massage & Skin Care, she holds a license as a Facial Specialist and a Body Wrapper. She is also licensed in the State of Florida as a Nail Specialist. As well as being the part-time Clinic Director, Teresa still practices at Crickets Salon & Spa, performing facials, body treatments, waxing, manicures & pedicures. Coming full circle, she now teaches what she loves to do most.

Cathy Cohen, LMT
Cathy holds a B.A. in Biology from George Mason University and graduated from Shaw Myotherapy Institute. She has a certification in Trigger Point Myotherapy. Cathy is a Licensed Massage Therapist and maintains a private practice specializing in chronic pain. This gifted instructor teaches several Allied Modalities for the Academy, as well as being a Massage Instructor substitute.

Scott Helm, LMT
Scott is our evening Massage Instructor, and has some 5 years of teaching experience coupled with being the owner of the very successful Barrier Island Bodyworks - Therapeutic Massage in Fort Myers. In addition, he has established Workplace Massage Programs in professional medical offices throughout Lee County. Scott is well respected in the medical community and has been a Guest Speaker for the Dental Hygienist Program of Edison College where he addresses such topics as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Repetitive Motion Disorders.
We are fortunate to have such an exceptional Massage Therapist with both teaching and real world practitioner experience, leading our evening classes.

Linda MacKenzie, FS
Linda is our day Skin Care Instructor. As well as being a Licensed Facial Specialist, she holds a Florida Body Wrapping License. She has had extensive training in cosmetology and has also worked as both a Dental Assistant and X-ray Technician. In addition to her classroom, she occasionally finds time to practice as a Facial Specialist in a local spa. Linda says she has discovered her true passion is the classroom.

Bobby Mimmo, LMT
Bobby is the Assistant and Substitute Massage Instructor for our Academy. He relocated to Southwest Florida from Massachusetts, where he attended Bunker Hill Community College. Bobby received his massage training from Florida Academy of Massage & Skin Care and was valedictorian of his class. He went on to work as an LMT for the prestigious South Seas Plantation Resort on Captiva Island and then set up and ran a Massage Therapy Salon at Madden’s Resort in Brainard, Minnesota. He currently owns his own Massage Practice on Fort Myers Beach. Bobby has also been a Hypnotherapist since 1982 and a certified Hypnotherapy Instructor since ’93. He has had additional training in Sports Massage and performed volunteer work with the 1996 British Track and Field Olympic Team. This gifted Instructor brings great enthusiasm and intensity to the classroom and to his extensive private practice.

William M. Nelson, LMT, BS, MS
Bill teaches the Academy's day Massage and Anatomy & Physiology courses. He holds an Associate of Science degree, a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island. He has had a life long interest in body building, gymnastics, martial arts, weight lifting and bicycle racing and is a trained ballet dancer. Bill is a Licensed Massage Therapist, an ISSA Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and a Certified Personal Trainer-Instructor. Bill maintains a private massage practice and works on-call in massage establishments.

Guest Instructors
Florida Academy of Massage & Skin Care also brings in numerous guest instructors to present the Allied Modality which is their particular specialty and passion.
